Is it just me or is Steve fast becoming a sell-out?
The Americans have a habit of destroying all our comics and turning them into cash-hungry idiots.
In my opinion comic actors (like Steve) seem to forget that its fans like us that have made them what they are.

But does Coogan want to be casted with the Partridge brush.
For example:
Harrison Ford... Indiana Jones Roger Moore... James Bond Arnie... Terminator Richard Jason... Del Boy
Does Coogan want to be like these?
He probably wants to make more money (as we all do), and so going to hollywood allows him to do this. Staying with Partridge means he will only be on the BBC gravey-train, not getting those big bucks!
In my opinion, in every performance I have seen of Coogan (e.g. Parole Officer), there is a bit of Partridge humour in there.

Dracula Hugh Grant... English T**t Ricky Gervais... David Brent Brian Capron... Richard Hillman I could go on. The reason that there is a lot of Partridge humour in Steve's characters is because he has based AP too much on himself.

One part in the parole officer that was really alanesque was near the end when he came into the big meeting holding a gun to someone and was saying something or other and he then said "i cant believe that there are still people talking at the back".
Just thought I'd say that..
